Raised in Australia, Ms Sharon Bartlett, following the completion of a double degree, Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) with Honors at Chisolm Institute of Technology and the start up and management of a successful infrastructure company during her first year of studies, quickly gained recognition as a talented business professional. Identified as an emerging business woman, a leading Australian Infrastructure company fostered Bartlett’s talent in their highly respected, industry focused, fast track development program. Aimed at accelerating the professional growth, experience and education of young business professionals, Bartlett leveraged this support and experience to assist in the expansion of her co-owned infrastructure company. These efforts combined with the support of a talented team, resulted in the landmark buyout of the company during her twenties.
Eager to replicate her Australian success, attention was focussed on identifying an emerging global market of which to enter. The UAE with its vision to become the international centre point of trade, business and luxury living, an economy fuelled by oil production and petrochemical investment dollars, combined with Bartlett’s experience to date, qualified this location as the ideal market for which to respond, leverage and capitalise on.
In 1997, Bartlett together with her co-founder, launched Septech Emirates. Today, the company experiences year-on-year growth that exceeds industry standards. Assisting in taking the company from a start-up operation 12 years ago, Bartlett has been responsible for the diversification of the company’s portfolio which today, caters to 4 major industry sub-markets; pre-cast infrastructure, water and wastewater, mobile water and marina. Strategically, Bartlett has steered the company towards partnering with the leaders of international business, successfully securing the partnership of the world’s largest water company, GE and marina manufacturer, Bellingham Marine.
Committed to the growth of the economy and industry of the Middle East, Bartlett is an active member of the Young President’s Organisation Emirates Chapter. |
